The Shawshank Redemption

Not having seen it since its 1994 debut, I just saw the movie last night, to see what the fuss was about. It’s a good, solid, well-crafted drama, and highly rated as one of the greatest films of all time.

It’s a film about a banker Andy Dufresne, played by Tim Robbins, who is accused of double murder and is sentenced for life at the Shawshank prison where he meets Red, Morgan Freeman, an inmate serving life sentence.

The movie talks about hope, friendship and influences in prison.

Hope is the major theme in the film — the dangers of hope, the necessity  of hope. Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) appears before us as one of the partially imprisoned saint. He spends nineteen years in jail for the double murder he didn’t commit, with a hope that he will be free one day.

I am sure now,you don't want to miss this one.
